VANOS S.A. at TeamUP Project’s 2nd Table-Top & Small-Scale Exercise

From the 12th until the 13th of June 2024, the Research and Development team of VANOS S.A.  actively engaged in the 2nd Table-Top and Small-Scale Exercise, in the Co-Creation Workshop as well as the consortium meeting, under the scope of the TeamUP project, at Campus Vesta in Ranst, Belgium.

This two-day joint activity, included the participation of CBRNe experts and non-experts in the Table Top Exercise, that simulated a chemical explosion in a collapsed building with participants engaging in SaR, DIM, resource Management, communication and Public relations and Decon.

The Small Scale Exercises focused on 5 scenarios including DIM-B in a public building, Donning and Doffing procedure, communication, DIM-R in traffic accident with radiologic source and triage.

Moreover, use cases, the tasks of each work package and the next steps of the project going forward were discussed, marking a significant milestone in our collaborative efforts to enhance emergency response capabilities of First Responders.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our esteemed partners at Campus Vesta for their exemplary hospitality and for providing an invaluable update on the latest methodologies in CBRNe incidents.

Stay tuned for more updates on our journey ahead!

#4 HOLISTIC CAPABILITY AND TECHNOLOGY EVALUATION AND CO-CREATION FRAMEWORK FOR UPSKILLED FIRST RESPONDERS AND ENHANCED CBRN-E RESPONSE #3 #2

Name: TeamUP

Role: Partner

Status: Active

Funding: European

Program: HORIZON-CL3-2022-DRS-01

Title: HOLISTIC CAPABILITY AND TECHNOLOGY EVALUATION AND CO-CREATION FRAMEWORK FOR UPSKILLED FIRST RESPONDERS AND ENHANCED CBRN-E RESPONSE

Duration: 2024-2026 (36 months)

Website: https://teamup-project.eu/

Description:
The TeamUP project is addressing concerns about CBRN-E incidents targeting civilians by proposing a framework to enhance capabilities and response measures in Europe. Currently, First Responders face challenges due to a lack of training, equipment and resources for dealing with CBRN-E hazards. The goal of TeamUP is to develop an innovative toolkit for detection, identification and monitoring of hazardous material, coordinated operations and efficient and safe Search and Rescue (SaR) supported by Augmented Reality (AR), and technologies for monitoring of the health status of First Responders. In addition, TeamUP will integrate tools for triage and decontamination along with modules for collaborative and digitized Planning, Response and Training for First Responders and citizens. The TeamUP technologies will be tested and validated during a series of Tabletop, Small-Scale Exercises as well as Small Scale and Full-Scale Trials with the active involvement of 8 end user-organizations, and a very competitive technical team, experienced in EU impactful funded projects, aspiring to create a ready to market solution. This collective effort will also contribute to the standardization of decontamination procedures and metrics, across the European Union.
